its stupidly early and i have to leave the house soon (train to catch, visa to get, family to see for the day, and so on) ... but this - from yesterday - cracked me up. i work in an office dealing with the training and career development of people working in mental health in NE england. phone conversation from the middle of the afternoon:

me: good afternoon, training and development, XXXXXXX speaking
her: oh hi, i'd like to book myself on some training.
me: okay, what kind of training would you like, and i'll see what i can do.
her: i'd like to go on a boyfriend appreciation course ...
me: ... what??! (oops, lost my professionalism there, d'oh!)
her: a boyfriend appreciation course.

*it clicks in my head*

me: *LOL* hi, honey.

was only the gf getting me by surprise made me giggle all day long, still making me smile now.
